Gran Turismo 3 question

everything on the game is still the same except one thing i noticed.. why the hell can u not paint your car anymore.... i remember on part 1 you could do a custom paint job and it would make the car look 20 times better, but i dont think there is a place to do that one part 3.. is it hidden or is it just not there?

huh? are you sure your referring to Gran Turismo? You used to be able to do a "racing modification"but that isn't in the 3rd version.

I'm currently trying to get 100% on GT3. I'm like 60% thru..and its a PITA!!!!

There was no way to repaint your cars in any version of Gran Turismo.

The Racing mod is what he is probably reffering to. I was pretty pissed to find that they had taken it out as well. But I got over it when I seen the graphics of GT3! All I could say was WOW! when I first played the game. If you go back and play GT1 or GT2, its amazing how they improved the graphics over the years.

there's a couple more gran turismos on the way....one is gran turismo concept...basically all the concept cars and cars that weren't released at the time of Aspec...like the new mini cooper...

the other is gran turismo 4...updated version...but i'm not sure when that's scheduled to come out...i've seen a couple of screen shots and it looks damn good.

GT3 is an aswome game but i'll take the viper look-a-like car in grand theaft auto 3 over any car.lol. now that an aswome game to.
BUT in GT3 my fav car was the AWD RUF GT2 prosche(spelling?)!!

Favorite GT3ASpec car = Mazda RX7

I remeber reading that to render each car in GT3 took like a week and a half or two weeks. So I would think that to change the body kit into a racing one for each car would be that time frame again.

Now to make up for that, you can supe up all the racing cars in GT3. You couldn't do any mods on the racing cars in the first two.

my fav car in gt3 is the F1 car.... it is probably the best car in the game.....
im almost finished with the game right now... all i have to do is get the s license, 3 enduro races, and 4 races in the professional league.... then im done...
but you know you cant get 100% until you get gold in every license test... which is pretty hard..

WTF are you talking about. In GT2 and GT1 you were able to hook up the cars to go faster. Have you even played GT2 and GT1????

There will indeed be a "b-spec," but not like that. GT4, or whatever it ends up being called (and NOT the GT concept or GT rallys that are coming out) will have some of the things that we missed from GT2 on GT3. I myself LOVE tuning a Daihatsu move up to 220 hp. I find it much more rewarding than starting with an already-performance car and tweaking. If you were to look at my garage (in GT2), you'd see a bunch of cars, like the old mini 1.3, datsuns, vitz's, and numerous other POS's that have been souped to hell.

So yeah, the next full GT version will be 2-disc, and will include all the happy crappy that we miss.

If you won a full blown race car or bought one in GT1 and GT@, you really couldn't do anything to it with respect to buying more parts and such.

Yes, I have played both and finished both. In GT3 they took out being able to make every car a "race version", however you can modify most of the race cars.

In GT3 my favorite car would be every RUF Porsche...

The car that i have fully upgraded is a Subaru WRX STI 561hp fully upgraded, suspension, transmission, LSD, and all other modifications. Best quarter mile time: 10.8 sec. Top speed: 207 mph (I still had rpms left in 6th gear but i had to go into the banking turn and lost speed)

This is my favorite to drive but by no means the fastest car in the game.

Ken Kutargi (PlayStation hardware czar) has gone on record saying that the ideal Gran Turismo would utilize Sony's broadband network and HDD to not only have massive multiplayer link races over the internet but have the ability to consistently download new cars. He has even expressed a desire to place, and I kid you not, EVERY CAR EVER MADE in the game. Something to think about....

Oh, yeah, and Auto Modellista has been delayed but Sega GT 2002 is divine
