Got some mail today...

I just can't think of why the rear right side is a little higher than the left side. Ihartmyhatchie said he has same issue.

I am 1/4 inch higher on the rear right side. I think it is a slight shape difference on the lower control arm. I noticed when putting the perch attachments on that they fit a little different from one side to the other. Thats all I can come up with.

Okay, I found the same wheels except in 18x8.5 +35.. I think I may go with that, slightly less aggressive, and also its about 80 bucks cheaper

Maybe, what if the rears already not even to begin with? I should have measured the height before installing the coilovers.

Going for fitment over performance..... the 235/40 will most likely rub more

+ wheel I want doesnt come in that
+ whats the point of going 8? too skinny

I was thinking of going 18x9 +35 im not too sure about that though

235s are pretty much out if you are going with a low offset 8.5 or any 9 inch wheel. 225 is the widest you'd be able to go on a lowish offset 8.5 otherwise if you go low offset or 9 inch wheel you are looking at stretching a 215 or 205.

Exactly. :) Im going to do some phone calls tomorrow to get the best deal and wheels will be ordered then

I fit a 235/40/18 on an 18x8.5 +38 pretty easy. That 3mm different isn't gonna determine if you'll have a rub fest, or not. You just need your fenders rolled flat. And use a good tire for stretching IE: Falken RT-615, 912, 512, FK452.

Word of advice... Don't use Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's... These tires run almost as wide as the 245 I started with. Yet I still don't rub. And If I do rub... I deserved it LOL.

I was thinking of Goodyear Eagle GTs

i've got goodyear eagle GTs, it's a good all-around tire. mine are 235/40 on an 8" wheel at +44 with a fender roll. just had some mild rubbing issues on the plastic part of the rear fender. so that should give you an idea...

hatchie when you removed your lower perches on the rear how much difference it made when you had them on?

It dropped a tiny bit more than 1 finger breath. So it was the difference of wheel gap, and no wheel gap.

ShaneS: I forgot to add trimming and grinding a bit of the fender... to fit 235/40/18. If you're not up for it Just stick with a 225/40/18.

There was a nice sharp piece of metal where the rear bumper meets the fender that would give me tire pho/noodles. A friend of mine went ape s*** on it with a grinder, and smoothed it down. Wala no more rubbage.

Wheels are hyperblack SVNs. Im thinking just going with plain black rays. Blue, or red would be cool but I have red calipers so I dont want overkill on matching, or mis-matching going on..

The blues, and reds get sun faded over time. I would definitely stick with black.
I'm excited to see your car on new wheels! I love hyperblack too. Which says something because I absolutely hate black wheels. But that bling bling black looks awesome.

Going in to order the wheels tomorrow. 640 for all for wheels. 440 for all tires. 1080 overall + tax and mounting/balancing the tires onto the wheels.

Question for you guys: I need a fender roll, should I get one after I put on the wheels, to see how much I need to roll, maybe even pull, or should I get one before I put on the wheels to prevent rubbing in the first place?

I just dont know if ill need a pull so im not sure, wouldnt wanna get a pull before and find out it wasnt necessary
