I searched and there were many threads and posts concerning how to go about doing the sea foam treatment. Normally I would read through all of them and try to figure out how to do this correctly myself but I'm short on time and the threads are confusing because there are many suggested ways to do it. I'm looking for advice from one of my fellow MSP owners who has done the sea foam treatment. Should I suck half the can through the break booster line and then put the other half into the gas? My engine just recently developed a tapping/knocking and I'm really, really hoping it is just a valve or lifter and that sea foam helps.

I usually run 1/3rd through brake booster...1/3rd in crank-case, and 1/3rd in gas tank...

And you should also do this all about 500 miles from the next oil change...That way any of the impurities you may dislodge in the crank-case will be filtered/removed asap...just my way...not the only way..

FWIW.... i put some seafoam into my gas and the crankcase..... but i wasn't sure what to do about the brake booster line, because some people have suggested that running it through the brake booster isn't a good idea on the MSP because of the check valve it has that the P5 doesn't. hopefully, someone with more knowledge than myself could shed some light on the best way to run some seafoam through the head on the MSP.

Thanks guys, I went through the brake booster line. It is already cut to the left of the check valve since I have a vacuum manifold on there so that was not an issue. I read the PCV route only cleans 2 of the cylinders while the brake booster cleans all of them. I will get an oil change in a little bit, thanks for the suggestion. It didn't help with my engine noise issue so off to the shop she will be towed. And man was that a lot of white smoke, completely covered my neighbors lawn and house. She already doesn't like me, I'm sure that didn't help our relationship. If you can do this some where other than your house I would suggest it to not piss off/scare your neighbors.

Haha...Yeah, I always pull into some random parking lot to do this procedure...It makes you're car look like it's about to die a sudden and painful death...

i just did both those the other day and my sea foam wasn't all that bad i might do it again just to make sure its clean...but i did the brake booster line too
