Got my Zaino kit today! (not used yet, no pics, sorry!)

once you mix the zfx with the z2 or z5, you have 6 hours before it cures. Then you throw out the rest, so use it all until it's gone. Half a mixing bottle is 1 oz. That's 3-4 drops of zfx for that. If 1 oz with 3 drops does 3 coats, then what are you going to use for 1 coat?

You don't win anything for the correct answer! But if your only going to do one coat on one day, your going to waste something unless you have 2 cars, and you can garage the MSP and can apply Z1 then z2 instead of zfx.

I clayed on day one, spent a good 3-4 hours, but my car needed it. Your won't. Then just applied z5 the 2nd day. I got up the 2nd day, re-washed, and applied z5. Car never moved until the next day.

Not this weekend ( supposed to rain) but next, I'm sticking some z2 on it. According to other zaino users, Z2 looks better on light colors like silver. But use Z5 1st as it helps fill in slight scratches a bit.

Easy! I used a half ounce (1/4 bottle) and 2 drops of ZFX!

I only had a tiny bit left over (less than 1/4 of the 1/2 oz...less than 1/8 oz).

So here's what happened. I washed the car with Dawn, and then dried it. It was HORRIBLE rinsing and drying it....no more beading But it needed to be done.

I claybarred the front end of the car (lots of bugs, and other junk from flying down the freeway).

I then applied a single coat of Z2, only using the 1/2 oz that I mixed. Waited 20 minutes, tested to see if it was dry (it was), then wiped it off. This stuff is so easy to apply and take off!

After a SINGLE coat of Z2, which took all in all one hour to apply, dry, and take off, the car looks BETTER than with the entire Meguiar's 3 step system.

I finished up with the Z6 gloss enhancer spray (similar to a quick detailer), and called it a night, it was getting dark.

If it looks this good after one coat, I can't wait until I get 3 or 4 on.

it gets very smooth after a few coats. Almost oily, but when you touch it, there's nothing on your finger of course. And no matter how hard you push your finger on it, it won't squeak.

Oh, and i want to eat the z6. That stuff smells great.

question: do you have to let the polish completely dry before you take it off? because most waxes and polishes say not to let it dry.

I've never seen or heard of any wax or polish that says to 'not let it dry.' They have to dry for them to work.

zymol says best result if you do 2' X 2' and don't let dry, also meguires quick detailer says not to let dry(i know not really a wax or polish), and one or two others I've used but can't remember the names. I wasn't saying put on and take right away but 20min seems like a long time. But you would know better seing as you have the product with instructions and I've never used it before.

Meguiar's, Mother's, and every other wax/polish I have used has said to let dry before removing.

When the wax hazes over, it IS completely dry.

Quik detailer is something altogether different, that you definitely don't want to let dry on your car, makes lots of spots.
