Got my ebay intake.

I received my ebay intake today. I love it. Cheap and sounds great. I noticed better responce and what a sound. Best $45(w/shipping) I spent on my P5 so far.

i just bought one from ebay too. it's installed now. sounds and looks good, but it's only for the time being. i plan on getting the injen intake, but 280 is hella steep. i like it and it seems to do the job. it's a good buy. congrats on the purchase.

i reccomend you change the filter to a K&N, you may not notice a diffrence but it should give you a little more airflow. you should keep the one it came with for emergencies (or when you need to recharge your filter)

I bought the same one that you did. I bought the k&n recharge kit for it and oiled it up. Love it! I might buy a can of paint and paint it. Anyone know of a good paint to spray it with?

I got mine from BTNZ. I had a little trouble with him when I got a CAI for a friends civic si. It didnt fit but the one for our Proteges work great.

i got the same one as you guys. he did a good job of keeping me in touch with the where-abouts of the intake. i paid 42 bucks shipped. it's made by BOMZ Racing........ herarety: i did a quick search and seen multiple places with the injen for 280...thanks for the help...is it worth switching to a K&N filter? why?

I used to have ebay ones too, but it had few issues, like vibrating when I press brake pedal... I broke my one of MAF's bolt.
I have just decided to go for INJEN.

Also, how hard is it to install one? I'd love to get one but don't want to have to pay a mechanic. Do you have to have a lot of experience with what you are messing with?

The bolt attached to the MAF(Mass AirFlow) sensor...The black square thing with the wires coming out.

Mine doesn't touch at all. Just give the second pipe(closest to the bumper) a little twist downward. If that doesn't work, fiddle around with the couplers 'till you get a good fit. Watch out for the Master Cylinder!

Performance...As much as a 140 dollar AEM, which is to say hardly any. Mostly a nice growl, some extra throttle response, and maybe a couple of high-end HP. Plus chrome sure looks better than black plastic!

Also, I've never had a problem smogging my car. It passed with flying colors! I can see how a visual inspection might be a little...sticky.
Sticky....Hmmmm.....Maybe I'll go to the sticker shop and have a CARB sticker made!! LOL (burnout)
