F-them...Got my Carbon Fiber Trunk Yesterday

Trunk looks good overall the only problem is this damn chip that i have circled, i'm sure JSP didnt send it that way, but i called them and i'm still waiting to hear back to see what we can do about this. Hopefully DHL will refund my money. I didn't spend my money to get a trunk that has a chunk out of it...updates when i hear something.

looks just like my vis minus the trunk lock hole.... "normally" shipping companies are good abt these type of things. the only problem is some take a while to pay!

i was planning on gettin an IS300 carbon fiber spoiler and that would cover up that spot but i still would like to have the option to not put on something to cover it. They've been real cool at JSP and said they're gonna hopefully have this straightened out by the end of the day. Thanks for the props guys.

hope it all works out. I hate DHL and Fed-ex. Knew people that worked for these 2 companies and they said the people there didn't give a s*** about the box's. Also knew someone that worked for UPS and they said that everyone got in trouble who misshandled box's. so there was less goofing around. good luck and try to stay calm.

it looks good but I'd paint it to match the car or else anyone can punch through your trunk and steal whatever is inside. CF isn't all THAT strong!

honestly i punched my c/f hood after i wrecked that s*** is stronger then you think... i still have some pieces of it for the hell of it.... it would be easier to punch thru the glass

huh, I've barely leaned on a hood and seen it buckle..I'm a big guy I bet if I hit it with my fist I could shatter it before I hurt my hand.

Maybe hoods are thinner?

You lean on millers hood? Yeah that thing will buckle but I dont a foot much less a hand going through it.

not millers hood. They are just flimsy though, the weight of the hood is enough to bend them around stock hood props....not real confidence inspiring...but either way. The trunk looks good but I'd paint it to match.

Mother ******* Update

Well heres the letter i got from JSP regarding my chipped trunk.

Hi ,

Sorry for the delay.

Our factory instructed us to advise you that you can return the trunk back
to us FREIGHT PREPAID and we will repair the trunk for you at no charge.

You will also need to pay freight back to you.

So essentially i have to pay at least $120 dollars to get the ****** up trunk that i recieved fixed. So now instead of just it costing me around $450 its gonna cost me $600 whoopity doo. I could kill someone. It's cool that they offered to pay for the repair, but that damn point is that i shouldnt have gotten a ****** up trunk to begin with. It's awesome that this was the first thing i've bought for my car and it's ****** up... guess i dont have a choice now but to get that damn IS300 spoiler. **** **** ****.

sorry to hear abt that.... what did dhl say.... my friend received a hood messed up and the shipping company paid him a few hundren dollars ...........
