Thanks for the response
a sill plate is in reference to a door sill.
Here's the link to the discussion: http://www.mazdamp3.com/vbb225/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4043&highlight=sill
And here's the link to a picture: http://www.hon-yu.com.tw/mazda.htm - just scroll down to the protege ones.
And I hope that this is okay, I'm still new to this forum, but here's the link to the same discussion at the Protege Club: http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12591
Anyway back to the bug guard. I haven't see it advertised by Mazda yet, but yours is the second P5 I've seen with one and the other owner said that it came from Mazda, so I'm just confirming that such a thing exists.
Just one other question. Does the guard look like it is easily removed and are there any of those rubber grommet thingies on the car? Just asking because I like the looks of the front end without it. With the winters in Colorado a bug/rock guard is neccessary. And also to use on trips.
Thanks,
Brian
