I do! just rotors for now. got em last week and they are f'ing sweet. as soon as i get springs i am going to make one big project and do the rotors, springs, paint calipers and hopefully, SS brake lines. (who makes them for our cars?) any help on the installation would be great and i promise to answer every question after i get them on. thanks

I have been thinking about getting the rotors for a while. The only thing stopping me was the installation (I want to do it, not pay someone to do it).

Anyway, I heard the front ones are pretty easy to install, but its the rear ones that might be a little harder...Was that true? Did you install it yourself or have someone else do them for you? If you did do it yourself, what did you have to do for the back ones, how hard was the project in general, etc...

Thanks for any more details!!!

There is always drilled Brembos on ebay. They aren't drilled from the factory, but a shop with a CNC machine does it. I've heard it's good quality.

the drilled rotors cost me $210 for the set. that is all four. i thought it was a good deal seeing as advanced imports has them for $170 a pair. i don't know if they were drilled from the factory, they were in sealed brembo boxes. does anyone know if i have to have them saftey wired before i install them? thanks

Brembo brakes are cast with holes in them and when they they are done casting them they clean up the holes.
This gives them the strenght to resist cracking. This is by far your best cross drilled rotors.
Others drill factory style rotors and somewhat cromprimse strenght. when buying It wouldn't hurt to find out how they were manafactured

Ben...I like the brake set too, but SEXY??? I'm worried about you buddy, lol! I don't even want to know about your fantasies if they involve brake discs!!

Brakes?

Just a quick thought..... Dosn't everyone complain about the speed of our P5's?????? I thought the purpose of these brakes was to Stop fast Cars??? just my 2 Cents..... although they look 2 times as good..... Performance wise they are not needed for our slow P5's!!!

first mod you should do to a car is brakes, because when you make it fast, atleast you can stop.

So WHERE did you get the brakes?

Project Mu actually sells brake pads for our Proteges, front & rear pads. I don't remember the part number, but I'm sure I can track it down. The next step would be to get the lines.

In all honesty fellas, good brake pads and SS brakelines are the main components for an awesome brake setup on a street car. Crossed drilled rotors are mainly for looks and the added cooling doesn't really become a factor unless you're a LeMans racer or you frequent Buttonwillow, Thunder Hill, Laguna Seca etc. So if you're looking for improving the performance of braking, save yourself some cash and buy regular rotors, then upgrade the lines and pads.

"buy regular rotors"

You mean get bigger normal rotors, or stay with stock and upgrade calipers?
