i got a MS3 with BOSE stereo without nav whose hooked up a sub amp and what line converter did you use and where you hook in at? i tried it at the BOSE amp to the 2 rear door speakers and it dont sond to good. any pointers please

I tapped the amp INPUT wires for the rear speakers. As in the wires coming from the headunit going to the amp....did this so the amp can't do anything to mess around with the sound and frequencies etc. Those wires are already low-level so I just connected some RCA plugs and plugged it into the amp. I tried a few other ways of hooking it up but I feel this way worked the best

ya i thought about that but those wires are shielded wires and my wiring diagram dont tell me what color is for what speaker out of the head unit

AMP INPUT:

remote: solid blue
FL+: solid purple
FL-: Green w/ white paint
FR+: solid red
FL-L: solid green
BL+: brown w/ blue stripe
BL-: yellow w/ blue stripe
BR+: yellow w/ green stripe
BL-: white w/ blue stripe

I used the back speakers for the rca plugs

thanks a lot!! did you end up cutting the one end of RCAs and just tapping into the wire or did you back-probe the connector for the wires? im asking cause those wires have a shielding around them and the shielding is then grounded

i found a better way today and it sounds awsome!! the sub thats under the passanger seat...unplug the connector that in between the seat and the center console (a 2 wire plug) and tap a wire into those (gray/white wire is - and the white/blue wire is +) and run the wires to the high level input of the amp (you can use either left or right speaker) and you can control the base through the radio and it sounds awsome!! no line converter needed

I did that originally and I didn't like the sound...If you tap into that it's post-amp and I have a feeling you're not getting a full signal going into your amp. I think the stock bose amp probably alters the signal to optimize it for the bose 6 inch "sub".

So you guys are splicing the RCA's with the Lft rear and Rt rear amp wires.
(Cutting the RCA plugs off and splicing the wire to wire and then pluging the opposite end RCA plugs into you amp.)

So all you gotta do is run a power wire back to you amp and run a ground wire.
Then make your speaker connections and the remote power connection.

aaron is im doing it an easier way and it sounds great plus im not messin with the SHIELDED wires (the wires have an extra wire wrapped around it and then grounded) look at how they have the shielded wire....look at the attatched picture
