Got an ACT clutch or Fidanza flywheel???

Got an ACT clutch or Fidanza flywheel OR motor mounts?

Ok. I recently got my tranny rebuilt, got poly motor mounts, a 9lbs fidanza flywheel, and an ACT clutch.

I currently have around 350 miles on the whole setup.

When I downshift (like from 3->2 for example), the car shakes a little bit. It feels as if the clutch is slipping/studdering. What I want to know is:

1-Does anyone with an ACT organic clutch OR an fidanza flywheel have this issue?

2-If 1, then does it go away?

Any other ideas?

I suspect this is related to your motor mounts, not the clutch or flywheel.

I don't have this problem with my settup. Than again, I don't have the motor mounts.

what did u have done to the tranny?...or did mazda just rebuild it?...do u still get tha jerkin in low low rpms in like 2nd and 1st????

I only have the front motor mount in tho. Hmmm...it COULD be the mount. Any good way to diagnose it?


ANYONE w/ MOUNTS OUT THERE HAVE THIS PROB???

Try a clutch adjustment. Not sure if it will fix but a hell of a lot easier than a motor mount. My corrado shimmied a little between 2 and 3 and a clutch adjustment cured it. I had a velocity 11lb flywheel and a Neuspeed clutch and pressure plate.

Yeah, mazda rebuilt it.

I do tend to get the jerking at lower rpms...If I give it gas on the downshift, it won't jerk.

Hey Dino I think the mechanic said that there was somewhere to adjust it on the pressure plate. I also know that some cars it has to do with the linkage.

i have the tripoint flywheel, the act clutch and motormounts . it bucks at low rpms. i think it has to do with light flywheel. i haven't noticed it in the other pros, i drive and i drive at least 10 a week.
