Spicy Orange MSP #1287
Look what came in the mail today!! I can't wait to put it in...Unfortunatly, my duties as a boyfriend force me to wait untill tomorrow to do the install...Unless I whine and b**** enough:D"But hunny, it'll only take me 20 minutes...I SWEAR" ;)

In the pic below, I marked the length that would either need to be shaved out of the inside of the stock Sparco knob, or shaved from the outside of the Kartboy SS. Either way would work.

wow that's awesome. i really gotta get me one of those...
btw, is the installation same as any other shifter, i.e., twm? i know there's the kartboy ss install how-to, but no pics. and being a very inept man, i need guidance.

It should be a very straight forward install. As far as the bushings, they looked fatter than the yellow ones too, but I never saw the yellow ones in person either.
Yeah, that's a sweet-ass shirt, huh? Free with the super combo(SS/knob/bushings). I wanted one anyways, so free is just awsome:D Thanks Tom!! The total out the door with tax and shipping was just around $153. A very reasonable price for everything I got.

have fun installing those bushings. those are a pain on the msp since its right next to your pre cat.

I have the same setup on my mp3. Except i have the yellow busjings, and i didnt get a shirt. :'(

You will be happy with it, the bushing helps a ton.

all i got was a stinking fireball(cryhard)

thanks tom....i was just playing,

hint,hint...cough cough TSHIRT cough

I've got no cats period...I have the APEX downpipe. I'll be removing that tomorrow at the same time I install the short shifter though. I'm still hearing that wierd ass noise at full throttle, so I'm hoping I'll get rid of it by putting my stock down pipe back in. I'll let you all know how easy or hard it was tomorrow evening.

since you just got your kartboy knob can i get your sparco one?
Sorry, but I'm gonna shave what needs shaving so I can make the Sparco knob fit. If I decide not to use it after all, I'll let you know though.

HeHe...I figured they were the wrong ones since I couldn't get the little pipe back in there:)...It's ok. I'll PM you my address in a sec.
Overall, a pretty quick install, and I actually fixed my DP problem at the same time which saved my ass. No motor problems, just a leak from the DP:)
The throw on the shifter is absolutly perfect!! I had a SS in my Civic, but this one is even crisper. There is absoloutly NO notchiness at all. I was racing around a little bit, and didn't get anywhere near a mis-shift. The knob is the perfect shape too:)
Thanks again Tom for a wonderful product. Money well spent!!

Hey tom any way I can come by and pick up the shifter/bushings/knob without having to wait for shipping? Thanks.
