Got a call from the dealership...

Keep the P5, who knows what those evil stealerships will do with it. I'd bet they are just going to scrap it out for the money! One less P5 to roam the roads :(

That and I hate the Mazda 3, I'd consider a 6 with the sport package or maybe a 6 wagon (haven't driven one of these yet)...

whats wrong with the maz3?...hmmm cuz i was kinda thinking of getting that...although it may be hard to part with my P5.

also its prolly juss me but in my area ive seen so many P5 popin out of thin air driving around...cuz i could have sworn when i was drivin around my civic P5s where rare and i work at the mall so i would basicly see a lot of diff cars and never saw P5s parked anywhere :?

hmm maybe a SP23 in carbon grey with black leather (hump) and everything

The 6 sport wagon is the sex.

I haven't gotten anything about this in the mail. If I do, I'll prolly trash it. It's their attempt to make you pay more in the long run.

It also helped that they were willing to pay off my gas guzzling 01 Dodge Durango R/T. The 10.5mpg that thing got was killing me.

I was talking with my boss at work about this sort of thing when looking for my P5. He said he has run the numbers and done both new and used cars. If you buy a car, new or used, it cost about the same to maintain it for 10 years. By trading in/buying a new car every couple of years, you are actually spending more.

that isn't surprising lol

people don't usually buy new cars to save money

I really like the Mazda6 Wagons too, but no one makes performance parts for them. Not sure it would need anything for awhile anyways. However, I am not sure what I should do. I have a pretty busy weekend planned and what not. I doubt that they will pay it off and then give me a good deal on a Mazda6 Wagon. Just so you all know, I got screwed probably worse than anyone on the boards. I paid $24,500 out the door for mine on May 29th, 2004. I have a 48 month/48,000 mile warranty, gap coverage and all. What happened was I think they tacked some s*** on. See, my Civic booked at $5,000. I owed $5,200 on it. They "gave" me $6,150 for. Well, I think they tacked that extra on plus some! I wrote my taxes off this year because in the State of Arizona you can do that now. So, that was like $1500 or something like. I still got screwed though. The car had 1100 miles on it and was a lot car. I am the only owner.

I don't get it... (uhm)

how did they get you to sign something that said you were paying 24,500 ?

<- MORON! : ) I really REALLY wanted the car and wanted away from my Civic. I went to look at the Mazda6 (they wouldn't let me drive a standard) and as we were getting ready to leave I saw my P5 out of the corner of my eye. Turned around, pointed and yelled "THAT ONE" at 9:30PM across the lot : ) I told them to keep my payments under $400 and they had a deal. I should have told them to sell me that car for like $16,000. Which would have kept my payments lower.

omg I'm going to cry... wow

maybe they feel bad for ripping you off and that's why they called you back

... either that or they want to screw you out of even more money ... (uhm)

I can't decide

yea I thought my 203/month insurance bill was pretty high

its a markting ploy which really means, "hey you're car is almost payed off so we need you to come in and start a new contract and pay us more money for a longer period of time."

oh, i was under the assumption that you financed through mazda credit. anyway, they will still make a profit off of the sale.

(owned)

But seriously they prolly figure you for a sucker. Also, they're figuring you won't be shopping around for a good deal, etc and would jump on something right off the bat.
