Same here but it was 3rd, weird eh? It could of just been a fluke and he was pretty good to his car.

a allwheel drive car that if you beat on it too much it will break! you would think that with a price tag like that they could beff it up a little. and just for the info, the bullet proof trannys in the STI's are not that strong i had a buddy rip 5th out of his car

I hear ya'... Got rid of mine a couple of years ago for a Mustang GT. Added a whipple SC and forged internals and I'm making more than double the hp my MSP could've possibly made tricked out.

however dont getme wrong, the speeds a good vehicle too and I love my car and upgrading it, its just not even in the same league as the sti though

I added afew bolt ons and was dead even with a sti on the highway. msp are well known for handling. the only way my car is not in the same league as the sti is price. and I saved 13000

Wow guys you talk about a mazda community were you don't put people down about their cars. Come on, I loved my mazdaspeed it was a ton of fun to hook up and was and awesome car I wish i could have both but I'm not made of a million dollars so stop putting the Sti down this is bullsh!t. I moved on to this car cuz i wanted something with more power and potential from the get go. So be happy with what you've got. I didn't pay 35,000 for this car i paid 21,000 so For the same price as a brand new Speed i got my Sti and I love the STi but this is pathetic putting down my car cuz it cost more then your and have more power. I'm sorry to say this cuz I may not post on here to much at all but i was on here all the time when i had the speed but I'm glad I'm not part of this community anymore.

sti as with any other awd car is sick. Myself I cant say I am a huge fan of the sti but I'm not the one driving it therefore i dont have to like it. If you find the car is what you like and love then great for you. They are good cars from my knowledge and know a lot of people who have great luck with them and others have their problems as with any car though. And another point, if anybody is saying "the msp is a good car but its just not fast enough..." I say screw the naysayers... I have a buddy with a 95 SOHC civic putting down low 11 seconds at the track... granted it was his first car and has over 20 grand under the hood BUT my point is, any car can be fast if you know what you need to do in order to make that power, but more importantly handle that power. Good luck with the sti however and a great majority of us here wish you the best.
