Well I found a place in Edmonton offering a great price on the Single Mp3/CD deck. You order from them and they have it shipped from Japan directly to you in a couple of weeks. They even take PayPal. The site is:

I emailed them and a guy called "Maurice" wrote me back...
"Cost is $323.38, delivered by Express Post, including GST.
Delivery is 7-10 days ( we ship the Mazda parts from Tokyo, Japan)
Thanks for writing."
So I plan on ordering it as soon as he confirms he can get the dash trim cover.
