Well, the time has come.

My wife was going to shoot me if i had another issue with my ol' #540. So, we went down to the Mazda shop and we traded it in. Yes, my MP# is now going to someon else, hopefully it will go to a good home.

We moved up the Mazda product line and got a smokin' deal on a '05 Mazda6 s. So, farewell my fellow MP3'ers. I will miss my little laser blue mica machine.

What did the dealer give you for the car if you dont mond me asking? And whats the deal you got on the Mazda 6? I Like the MazdaSpeed 6.

Peter

more info on the 6 you got? wagon sedan or hatch? color? lord tell us its a 5-speed

I got $6,000 for the MP3, and they had $4000 in incetives on the 05 Mazda 6 S sedan in copper.

Better than the 4 that another place was going to give me for the same condition.

And, the love hate relatioship with my MP3 is over, which I feel better about. And I came out at basically a wash with the new car as far as price was concerned vs. what I paid new on the MP3.

All in all, I'm happy with the decision. Sad let go of the MP3, btu glad at the same time.

Well, sorry to see ya go, but I understand your decision. Thank God mine is almost paid off!

I was torn. It run great for a few days then crap out for no reason. Everything was tight, everything was in order. Then after checking everything, it would magically run great for a few days, and poop.

One minute it would like it had a vacuum leak, then four miles later, nothing changing except driving the four miles, all would be well again. Check all the pipes, everythign was tight. No leaks, nothing was loose.

It is very frustrating having a family rely on you to be somewhere and your car is acting funny and you are stranded litterally fifty miles from anything after you checked to make sure everything was square before you left, and you never got on it and ran it hard....

I loved the car from the day I bought it, it became a love-hate relationship after the dealership broke, and the up hill battle wasn't worht the time and effort anymore. I still love the Protege, but its time to move up the brand latter to a bigger car that fits the family a lot easier.

Grocery shopping was a kick in the pants when everything fit without an issue and I had room left over in the trunk; instead of trying to fit everything around the dang sub and making the kids carry stuff in their lap because the trunk is overflowing with groceries. Talk about shock and awe tactics....What the hell is that there trunk thing???
