going rally racing on the 27th (march)

as the title states, i got entered by a friend to drive my protege5 in a road rally race march 27th with him as my navi. Sounded cool as s*** that i would be doing all that stuff i see on tv. Yeah come to find out its a time trial of who can do the speed limit the best. sounds intense right? there's even times where i get to stop and pause cause they are in the rules. Guess the best part might be that it is ending at a diner. mmmmmmm food.

They are actually fun...even if you can't drive like a maniac on the streets....it takes skill to hit the markers in just enough time without going under too much...fun stuff. Plus the camaraderie and hanging out with fellow auto enthusiasts...

yeah i posted that post then watched an episode of Top Gear where they bought some antique(ish) cars and entered in a road rally with them. It actually looked like a s*** load of fun even though there isnt any sliding around. I feel though now that i should cover my car with some random ass big stickers for this thing. Any one free march 27th and can be in cecil county, MD and wanna race with me or just cheer on a fellow mazda?

if anyone has advice for him (as the driver) or me (as Navi) it would be awesome. I have been out a few times doing practices on the course from a few years ago to learn timing and calculations but can't really offer any advice for the driver.
