Going back to dealer for throttle problem

hi all
back from the shop......same as narley, after speaking to mazda tech they replaced the throttle body under warranty and I also had a shimmy in the steering wheel while braking which the fixed as well by cutting the front rotors.... all seems well so far!

If your brake rotors are warped you should always make sure to install new pads and rotors (if time and money permits) as well since the old pads may have glazed over causing too much heat buildup.

I have also found on todays vehicles, if brake rotors warp and are then trued by turning them, they will warp within 10k or so again so be prepared for new rotors. The reason is todays rotors are thin, very thin and if they warped once, making them thinner guarantees warpage again down the road.

I agree that if you had warped rotors they should have been replaced, not turned.

Even a minor warp requires a lot of material to be removed, well beyond resurfacing.

Sorry for the late reply. The 9 is fixed. They installed a new throttle body, did a few recalls and re-flashed the PCM.

All is well.
