Glossy black painted RacingHarts on a Blazing Yellow MSP??

I'm contemplating painting my stock 03.5 RH's and I want opinions and pics of anyone who might have painted theirs! Even other colored cars might help my imagination! Post picsssssss!! Appreciate it(nana)

painted mine black with an orange lip just to see what it would look like but I never got the energy to coat them for a shine. but im going to get them powdercoated black with an orange lip pretty soon

Hmm sounds pretty sweet, I while back a friend of mine said I should do mine with a yellow lip, any pics?

Damn.. I really like that! Since I put this thread in both appearance and with the wheels section, the other thread ppl are voting against me painting since I have the darker 03.5 wheels.. Idk! I really like the look of yours, but did you have to sand them or anything to make this irreversible?? I've painted already painted wheels so I know I had to sand the old paint off, but never polished wheels.. How did you go about doing so??

didn't sand them at all, just painted them and had a roll of painter's tape for the lip

Hmm that sounds pretty damn easy lol, so I could just use something to remove the paint if I decide against it down the road huh? I've always just used index cards around the tire so the tires don't get painted too, and how did you make your painted lip straight and color matched??

used painter's tape and just found the closest color i could

I might try it! What did you use to clean them so they werent all covered in road grime and gunk?
