Cops Are Terrible This Is True But State Troopers Are Even Worse.... I Just Turned 21 Today And Had The Chance To Run Into A State Trooper Taking Radar On Liberty Rd. He Asked Me If The Info On The License Was Correct And I Responded By Saying Yes Its All Updated Because I Just Got It This Morning Due To The Fact I Am 21 Today. He Said Ok And Came Back With A Ticket For Doing 69 In A 50.... 2 Points And 75 Bucks. How Sweet.

Ur Right They Have No Db Level But They Will Get You For Excessive Noise... Trust Me I Know From Experience. In The Same Night, I Got Modified Exhaust Causing Excessive Noise, Headlights Dont Meet Height Regulation, Loud Music, Modified Turn Signals And Failure To Control Vehicle Because I Was Parked 2 Inches Out Of The Parking Spot At Burger King.

well everyone is going to hate me for this but ill say it anyway...... you got to pay to play. look there are laws we dont like all of them but they are there. if your going to mod your car and it doesnt pass these laws then its your fault. not the law. now cops can be pricks and nit pick every lil things and thats annoying and all but not illegal. my whole problem is when they try to enforce bogus laws or try to make another a law apply where its not aplicable.
I AM going to put clear sidemarkers on my car but im keeping my yello bulbs..... keeps it legal.
i have gotten excesive nose due to a modified exhust. went to a shop that approved my exhust was on and in working order and went to court. no point or anything.
my car is lowered. its legal. period md doesnt have any laws about hieght for your lights or ride. if your car gets stuck on the road thats your fault. look at the exotics like lambos and ferr.. and porshe. look at how low they ride and where their lights are.
body kits are not illegal unless they cover your lights or turn signals.

if you want to put dark tint on get ready to take it off when you get caught. its not a popular point of view im expressing and almost everyone knows whats in my hatch but if your going to break the law expect to have to pay or get caught.
the main thing is to know the law yourself and be prepared to fight it in court if you feel youve been wronged. it wont always be fun and you wont always win but at least you tried and thats the main part.

i'm not sure, but i thought you had to have a amber or red reflector on each side of your car, front & back??

yeh thats what i told ray smug......they will pull laWS OUT OF THEIR ASS.....thing is when u know they are full of s*** they back track and find something else.....i was pulled over once in my 240sx on new years eve, the cop came up and leaned in and asked for my information....then proceeded to ask me wher ei lived and what i was doin out .....i tolfd him i was goin home and i lived up the street, then asked why i was pulled over and he ignored me,then the cop made me get out and do a achol test even though i didnt drink or smell of it .....then said he pulled me over fo rmy front plate not being on the bumper......i called the station to report a incident and they just told me he ha da reason to pull u over and probably cause to ask u to get out of the car......cops sux....thats life (protest)

hey Finn, I totally agree...I posted in another thread that I can get out of the tint thing w/o removing it...dont ask how or question it. I have done it before

I totally know the pay to play thing. But I wont give in to bogus made up laws.
I remember when I got pulled in my old car for tinted tails(I knew they were illegal)
then they proceeded to tell me my window banner had to go...they marked it on the ticket as TINT..wtF? And they said I couldnt have white sidemarkers. I proved him wrong on that, got out my scraper and got the banner off...so in the end I only got a repair order for the tails... SO i went home, got my spares(non-tinted) switched em, got a shop to sign it...put tinted tails back in.

dont ya wish tinted windows were that easy and cheap to fix

they got me for that once.. i had a window banner and they told me it was the equivalent of 0% tint (not letting any light through, 100% opaque).. i saw his point and took it off.. it was a statey that followed me from 895 south past 295 then pulled me over as i merged onto 695 near arbutus.. AHHH!!

if I see a cop followin me and I feel he's lurking...waiting to pull me over in another area. I just get over into the shoulder quick and STOP. Its worked about 4 times so far(but of course there's a SLIGHT chance he wasnt even targetting me...but he prolly had reason to ) but Im still afraid of the day he does the same after he passes me and then backs up like an idiot to my car.
