I like both equally, but for different reasons. Emode's pic is great, and though I kind of like the flow a bit better with the first pic, his car isn't quite the focus of attention.
I prefer the second (with Nate's car as the primary pic) for the simple reason that this is a car calendar. In my view, the car should be the focal point of the shot - like Nate's is - with everything else secondary. . Nate's just gets right up in your face... in a good way.
