It's cool guys. I drove out but I was close anyhow. I stayed until about 7:15... then I figured out no one was coming so I bailed.

I wasn't planning on it since I had some stuff to do around the house. Since it's officially open. Let's keep this thread available for a group gathering at an event. I hear tale it's supposed to get cold again in GA before it gets (or stays) warm. So I say, we wait until the cold snaps are over and then one the warming trend is here to stay, let's gather.

Not sure how far away you guys are from Mazmart, but there is supposed to be a meet there the 28th of this month...not entirely sure what will be going down, but we (carolinamazdas) have a group heading down there...maybe some of you guys are close by...

Yeah, the strip was SUPER busy as usual, LOL.. but wow, waited in line for a little while then we were directed into a field where I finally just parked and we walked to the track. We stayed there for the whole time, saw one Mazda go through.. I believe it was a Mazda5.

I'd definitely be up for a meet there, as long as we plan to get there kinda early so we're not waiting in line forever That was crazy, glad I wasn't wanting to run my car tonight.

Yeah, we probably saw it.. there were some quick ones.. one car just simply flew down the strip.. clocked at ~154 in 1/4, I can't remember what kind that one was, but it was black I think.

Sure, on Friday nights? I've never been to the strip on Friday night, always went on Saturday for bracket racing. (i know several ppl that race)

his would have been burgundy, not sure how fast it gets in the 1/4.. but he shouldnt have ran the 1/4, only an 1/8 if i remember right.

P.S. - that place is ALWAYS full on Fast Fridays

I used to race my car when it was stock, but that would have been in 2006.. it has definitely grown since then.. they were backed up all the way to the main entrance.

I'd be up for meeting there on either Friday or Saturday, I've never been there for Saturdays before.

Not much for bracket racing but I love the Fast Friday showdowns. I recall seeing an epic battle between a N/A Late 90's Accord Wagon take on a 200X Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. It was a hoot.
