well after tha austin meet we decided on getting it in DFW area so is it a GO....the ennis thins as per tha magazine is on october 16 and 17..sat and sunday...if you want it to fall on those days...like dan said...maybe they moves it closer so if thats the case then we cant go to that one....anyone know of a big park around the area we can park and not be hasseled....come on guys keep em rolling of ideas so we can finalize this...later

how about hooters? they sponsor car meets and shows right??i think they even suppose to have a car show in the near future...we did try HILEY mazda in arlington once...they let us park there but its the space thats so crammed and being saturday..not much to see there..arlington is a nice area cos its close to the south guys and north people...i gues is its gonne be this place then its patrick and victors call..

Dallas area meet suggestions:
White Rock Lake for cookout (Mockingbird and Northwest HWY/Loop 12)
Dave & Busters - food and TVs for sports (75 & Walnut Hill) & (35 & Walnut Hill)
Speed Zone for cart racing (Walnut Hill & 35)
Wizards Poll Hall (Beltline/Arapaho & 75)
Champs Sport Grill (Beltline and North Dallas PRKWY) good food and HUGE TVs
Wasabi Racing Shop (Addison)
Lower Greenville Ave (J Pepes, Gloria's, Mike's Treehouse, tons of bars and clubs with the SMU college crowd at night. Also some are walking distance from my house so depending on where we go 3-4 people can park there)
Deep Ellum (I45/75 & I35) - no real good place to meet and hang, but 50+ bars and clubs in a 4 block radius
Six Flags/Hurcaine Harbor (Arlington) - not a big fan of taking my MSP there and parking for the day
Cafe RPM - Is this place still open? I haven't been there in a long time.

I would definitely like to attend. I've had my car for one month now. I would vote for a weekend later in the month. My son's 2nd birthday party will be the first or second weekend in October. What goes on at the meets? I've been to several Nissan SE-R meets. At those meets, a lot of people get to finally meet each other. There are also a lot of projects going on, from strut bars to a whole big brake system installed. We have met at a performance shop in Austin which led to Rudy's B-B-Q and Courtesy Nissan in Richardson, TX to name a few meeting places. Courtesy Nissan is great. We actually had several meets there. They even carry Nitrous Oxide in the parts department. Is there a Mazda dealership in the DFW area that is as hospitable? How about a park at the lake. We had part of the 2000 National SE-R Convention at a park in Grapevine near that ProBass Shop. I'm not to familiar with Grapevine however.

Nope, i dont think any mazda dealer sells NO2 or will install it.

Everyone should chose a weekend in October.....majority rules

9th & 10th (Columbus Day Weekend)
16th & 17th
23rd & 24th
30th & 31st (Halloween Weekend)

.........i dont think Halloween Weekend would be a good date, since people might wanna be with there families.....unless thats what the majority wants, it doesnt bother me.

grapevine..theres always a car show there..a great place to do meets...never been to one but always see a lot of cars passing by as i go to the mall there...16 and 17 is the drag race in ennis..that alone is a good activity...also..i think patrick and the guys one night drove around joe pool lake...i dunno if we canput it in activity too as a drive time event...i dunno if mazdas here will sponsor a food for us..does anyone close to their dealership..hehehee..what a question..later

ok, i found an event thats going down in October that people may be interested in.....its the 'Import Life Tour'

Go to the site, click on events, and look in the October schedule for Import Life Tour in Dallas Texas. It says the 16th, but when you click the site and scroll down, it reads the tours on October 9th in dallas?

ita an NDRA drag finals..oct 16-17..go to nopi.com and follow thru ndra.....wish they do that on that specified date..so we can work something out or at least will be an option for us if we decide to do it in othr dates...
