GIroduction Number Plaque's ****Pic's on page 1****

Hello everyone,I am thinking of making production # plaques for our protege's,this thread is just to get an idea of how many people would like one and what you all would like to see on them.


This is what I'm thinking of making, small brushed aluminum plaque's with Mazdaspeed across the top and your production # out of how many MSP's were made in your model year/.5 year.


For example:

MAZDASPEED

#263 of 1700


*Remember this is just to gauge interest. Once I see if this is worth it...I will become an AMM*




This will be for two plates one Rivit-On style for engine bay and one stick-on style for the dash....

how is the writing going to appear on the plaque? engraved? eched? stamped?
as for the MAZDASPEED, im assuming it wouldnt be the actual MAZDASPEED logo because of the patents and what not and rights of the logo that mazda holds...am i right?

since i personally cant seem think where i would mount the plaque id be for a decal

Yes they will a computer designed engraving.

I don't think I'll be able to use the actual Mazdaspeed logo font because I don't want to be sued for using it. But, it will be something that is close.

If anyone has any info on this matter it would be greatly appreciated.

I will try and get him to design both a Aluminum Plaque & A Decal version, if there is enough interest in this.....

After looking around a bit I see that steedspeed used this mazdaspeed logo on their manifold, so I guess it's ok to use this font?

I was going off of the number's listed in this thread.


Maybe check your VIN and make sure you have the right number? You wouldn't be the first person that mazdausa has gave the wrong number to over the phone.......

Yeah I know and I've been down for one in almost all the thread's....But,they all never seen the day of light somehow or another....


If I can get enough people together then it will happen one way or another.


If I have to get one just for myself then so be it.

I think that the integra type R have plaques with there production #. Well i want one so lette me know if its going to happen.

How large would the be?

I really liked the design Rickman had worked up awhile back, but that never flew.

Fairly small.

I'm thinking around 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" high and maybe 3 1/2" - 4" in length....Untell I go and see this guy to play around with a few idea's a size is not set in stone yet. But,I want them to be fairly resonable in size so that,placement is not a issue....
