We are gauging interest for local meet in the antelope valley somewhere in palmdale or Lancaster.
There are quite a few members on the forums that live quite far away from the SFV and Chino hills meet so a closer meet might be in order.
1. Please tell us if you are interested in making this a regular meet as well as
2. putting what time you are available to meet.
3. Any suggestions as to a specific location were we can meet were we would be welcome to hang out.

update

we are thinking sunday will be the meet day.
tell us if you are good with that.

I'm just gonna repost my reply from MOCC...Too lazy to type out another response...lol

Sweet, you took up my suggestion! :) Awesome! Definately looking forward to meeting some new people around our area!

Poondoggs and I would be game to meet up for sure. We just moved to the Lancaster area about a week or so ago. Came from Vegas but we are originally from OH and PA...

1. Regular meet would be cool with us...We just moved so give us a month or two and we could attend regularly
2. Later evenings would be good
3. Locations are tough...Car oriented places or a fast food joint that is open late would be good...Usually a place with a bathroom is the best :) We would have to get approval from where ever we decide to set-up if this were to be a regular thing.

Back in OH, we had a car meet of about 150-200 cars held every week called Superfly Sunday...It was very successful! Would love to start something like this here...

We also had Forced4's on Wednesday...

In Vegas, we had Las Vegas Mazda meets every Thursday...

And Evo meets every Thursday as well...

I'll vote a hell yes! jem0473 and I just moved to Lancaster. I look forward to meeting some new people! :)

alright! sounds good, I think at first we should not make it mazda exclusive to get more ppl. Also, if anyone from the other meets would be willing to come to visit our meet for the first one i think it would really help jump the popularity of the meet. also if anyone is down to put the link to this thread on their facebook or something similar it would be a great help to get the word out.

promoting MOCC and mazdas247 is a big part of this meet in my opinion so giving up a good name starts by making sure we are not getting tickets or becoming a nuisance to the city. being how you are in palmdale could you help come up with a list of possible locations for the meet? then we can begin going around and asking permission from the locations we like.

Lets start listing possible meet friendly locations, I think a place close to a freeway exit will be best for easy access and we can do a small cruise from lancaster to palmdale or the other way around. i think parks will be a good start so that way we can not only chill around our cars but also play sports etc.
off of the top of my head desert sands park, its is a minute or two drive off the freeway exit. Then its a really short drive to a large shopping area with a bunch of food places, the mall, and a bunch of shops. we go in and go back to the park so we won't be a disturbance to the businesses.

I also think tuesday will be a good day for the meet. So that way if anyone from CHM or SFV meet could come down if they want . and for those combined meets like The Big Chino Meet.

bump for this... The CHM, SH, and SFV used to have a monthly rotational big meet. Usually all members of each chapter will converge once a month. One time at SFV and CHM made over 100 cars.

yeah, that is were I got the idea from. :D if we got help from CHM and SFV that could really bring the popularity up quick. I will put it on mocc to ask if sunday is okay for everyone. jem0473 and poondoggs want to do it on sunday and I agree that it would be a good time.

SFV crew is the only kind of close meet. CHM is damn far. from you.

if i were you, just take initiate set date, place time, create the hype, spread the word, and have the first meet start... small at first most likely as word spreads.
And keeping it a mixed meet would ofc be best.

yeah they are kinda far away, which is the reason I don't go to those meets. I will start talking to businesses asap. However I am going to be busy with school and work also so it might take a while. the more work we put into the initial meet in organizing the meet, even though it would take longer, would be worth the wait I think.
