Same here, too many people flaking out on the used ones. And typically I'm seeing them for 450+shipping. By the time you ship it you might as well spend the extra coin can get a brand new one.

Also, you didn't hear this from me but ETS will do a black anodize for ultra cheap if you get a couple other people in on it. I'm anodizing mine hopefully.

Anodized is pretty sick!! But I will have to talk to our vendor/sponsor to see what he can get in terms of options if this gets off the ground.

Cool, if not I can have it anodized locally. Not a big deal to me. I just want this damned thing already. Want to drop my temps and get a bit more oomph.
 
I'd be in for a maybe on the 3.25" for a speed6. Can't give you a 100% at this point, but I will be following this thread to see where it goes for sure

Great. So far we have 6 guys (including myself) that say they would "for sure" take part in this group buy if it happens...2 out of the 6 are conditional upon not finding a cheap used TMIC to buy.

Lets keep the numbers going.

Remember, please only say you are "in" if you are 100% sure you are willing to pay $510 and have the funds to do this.

AGAIN THIS IS A GAUGING INTEREST, GI, THREAD. When this thread has shown enough interest, I will tell our vendor/main-sponsor and they will start a GB...but i won't waste their time until we have good numbers with people who are sure.
 
I'll keep the GI count going for a couple of days...Say til end of Saturday (7pm central).

The vendor is still seeking final approval to sell their product at a 10% discount....Just heard this news 30 min ago. Proper channels have to be gone through to do this on their end. Sorry, i didn't know this previously.

So if GI thread continues to grow by a few more guys who are "for sure" and we get the ok from the manufacturer, then our vendor can probably get things rolling from there.

Lets cross our fingers (nailbyt)

Edit: Issue is that bulk buy needs to approved by manufacturer.

LOL! Its not hard to tell who the vendor is if you look at the main sponsors of this forum (although, please don't start posting guesses in this thread)...but at the same time, i won't mention their name. Not because they told me not and not because I'm hiding anything...more because, I'll take responsibility and wear the "ass-hat" if this GI goes no where.

I will say this, they are well known and well liked on this forum and we can all be assured they are doing what they can for us to make this happen.

I hope interest continues to grow so I am not wasting their time though.
 
I have a 3.25" on my MS6 and I love it - decreases spool time, increases power, improves throttle response - If anyone is on the fence, I say do it.

There are differing opinions. From what I gather, it does pretty well without a tune but better with a tune.

For me, I'm not gonna tune. There some good threads out there including dynos with TMICs with stock tune. You'd have to search them out on this forum and others.

edit: oops...just realized you were asking Igve2shtz
 
From what I've researched the TMIC gives a good gain without a tune but more importantly lowers boost temps which by proxy gives you more usable power and a denser charge. It's a pricey mod but one of the better "bang for your buck" type of bolt-ons.

2nd gens don't really have any tuning options (standback is not really a solution, IMO) so I'll be running mine without a tune.
