GF Performance Chip Kit

Just wondering if anyone has tried this with their CX-9, and if so what were the results. Any other thoughts would be appreciated too. Am I correct that this is really just a resistor that fools out the vehicle's reading to Input Air Temperature sensor?

Looks like a simple IAT sensor hacking device that "fools" ECU into thinking
the IAT is colder or hotter than it really is.

There are downsides to having it.
Emission problem comes to mine.
If emission is not of concern, taking out the CAT will increase HP immediately.
No need to spend $70 for it.
Besides, burning too rich while accelerating will shorten the life of the CAT,
which is very expensive to replace (think $1000).

don't do it. A friend of mine fell for their chips for his VW. Look them up on BBB and ripoffreport.com. Hell, even youtube them..lol

BTW, MythBuster had an episode on these "devices" that claim to improve this or that on automobile.
The end result was not surprising. "Busted" for all.

Direct Injection is the only technology that increases TQ/HP while improving MPG.
