Getting Turbo XS bypass valve on Thursday!!!

Its nothing special looking just something simple to replace the stock one with, i dont like the posts that say ours is leaking boost. My friend only wants 50 dollars for it and installation is free because im going to do some small advertisign for the shop, plus its only a matter of unhooking one hose, trimming it and putting a 90 degree hose on to fit the bypass valve. Im not assumiing any noise increase from it just maybe to stop the leakage and to have something for future mods. Later

I don't know about ours leaking boost but I woud have to say that the Mitsubishi BOV installed on our cars is very nice and very good quality. I was running 16 to 19 psi on my 2nd gen eclipse with this same 1st gen BOV (ours) installed and it never leaked even at the top end. The 2nd gen eclipse BOV's leaked alot at the top end of the RPM's. The BOV on our cars is something I will not mess with because of this and because of the crazy bad luck I have seen when replacing the damn things. Things such as stalling, rough idle caused by numerous factors, and even compressor surge.

Um yeah our's leaks boost at 9 PSI. U were prob stalling because yo didnt recirculate it. You can get an AFC or E-Manage to cure that problem if you want to route it to atmosphere

$175 brand new. did you remember to buy the recirculating peice or are you getting an AFC to help out venting to the atmosphere?
