Getting rid of a notification symbol on infotainment screen?

How do you get rid of the notification symbol on the infotainment screen. This just popped up so I would think it indicates there should be info/notification and when I tilt the knob to the left it just shows an X I can not delete it. Not sure what it means. Any ideas? thanks

I think that it just shows that there is a notification screen, regardless of whether there is a notification there.
PS: I also didn't see a way of removing it.
