Getting ready to dive into the roadster world

Well, I decided I'm going to be selling my Speed Protege for A miata, (not the most popular decision, but I have my reasons.) so I'm here to ask what I should do first? What should I know?

I'm buying it from my dad actually, who has kept it about as stock as possible.
It's a white NA (1990) hard top, Aftermarket wheels, headrest speakers, and a trunk luggage rack. That's it

I do have an RX-7 MAF to install, and if it's possible, I'd like to get an SAFC-II for it.

Not really sure where else to start, I'd like to upgrade it's suspension, as well as a few other things. But I figured I'd ask y'all for advice.

Oh. Also, can the Split Second Air fuel Controller be used with a 1st gen miata?
