it's mazdaspeed 3 time. oh how i wish i worked for an automotive magazine...
Toward the end of the lapping session, we had a chance to drive a MazdaSpeed3 performance accessories car. The car was fitted with a MazdaSpeed cold air intake, exhaust, coilovers and forged 18-inch wheels. Jack Stavana, director of accessory operations for Mazda North America, said the CAI and exhaust combo adds about 35 hp and 30 ft.-lb. of torque at the wheels while maintaining the factory warranty, stock fuel economy and emissions. It's a win-win...win situation.
The first thing I noticed about this car was its tone. At idle, the exhaust is louder and throatier than stock. When tearing down the front straight, the stock MazdaSpeed3 had a clear and distinctive growl, but the accessories car just roared. The sigh of the wastegate was clearly audible inside the cabin when lifting off the throttle. Even more noticeable was the power delivery, which was much improved throughout the power band. Knowing that nearly 300 hp and 300 ft.-lbs. of torque was flowing through the drivetrain was downright scary.

All I can say is this thing got some get up and go. The bad part about it was that I didn't even go to the dealership to buy a car. But it just looked too pretty sitting there on the showroom floor I just couldn't resist. Pic's to come.....
