G'day from Australia

Crikey, strewth, erm... Bewdy! this is bonza mate! All us Aussies should get together and drink a gut-full of Fosters! HAHAHAHAHAA

Makes me wanna go out and wrestle a croc...

Kar10w: I'm actually from the Central Coast, not Syd. But i work in "the big smoke!"

wow, i want to visit australia... actually i want to live there... u think a yank like me will ever fit in? and whats it like living there... yeah i know dumb question, but what u know about yanks vs. aussies, whats it like?

good to have another aboard, just dont be some dumb broad in a dudes skin when posting, nobody likes that.

atleast i dont

Erm, i didn't get the dumb broad reference Iconoclast...

As for fitting in in Oz Midnightracer, it's easy: don't take anything too seriously and be prepared to see some seriously tough cars (also known out here as unroadworthy), hot women and full-strength beer (5.0%? Nah, gimme a 12% brew!).

One thing you'll miss is the US aftermarket. Seriously, we've got some decent Japanese stuff coming in, but it's super expensive and a shitful amount compared to the range of parts you guys get.

I asked the Mazda dealer how much it would cost to get my car decked-out in Mazdaspeed gear and they looked at me like i'd just dropped my pants in front of them. The response was "isn't our car good enough for you? Maybe you should've bought an RX-8 or a second-hand RX-7"

It bites like a hungry b****

****[thread jack in process]****

I have a question for all the Aussie's on the board. What in the hell are you all thinking eating "Vegimite"?! After being forced to watch the crocadile hunter movie my little sis wanted to try some, and OH MY GOD was it disgusting!!!!

**** We now bring you back to your regularly scheduled thread ****

Belive me, after smelling it I used a VERY small amount on some toast, still not doing if for me. Oh well, to each his own right?!

hehehehehe...ok, maybe it's not the nicest stuff there is. but to australian's it's like yanks and peanut butter and jelly

I dated an Australian who definitely had the old Vegimite in the cupboard. Bet they think the same about American Beer that you do about Vegimite!

haha, when i get enough money im prob gonna move there then :)

I would take a trip there first and see which area you like the best as it is a big country and each region is vastly different from the next...Like some areas love Rugby while other areas love Australian Rules Football...Am I right???

good idea, i'll prob do that then, tho im prob gonna live near the water, cuz im a water freak, i heard there was a jellyfish prob tho, is that true?

Jellyfish are only in parts of the country (far north Queensland, near the Great Barrier Reef)

Although there are large Great White Sharks (you know, same type as Jaws) in "The Great Australian Bite" in South Australia (it's actually called the Bite cuz it looks like someone's bitten off a chunk of the mainland).

C'mon down to Oz, mate. Just don't expect to see us all riding Kangaroos and Koalas to work :P

lol, no i am not expectin that at all, im not a true yank in that fashion, i was originally born in spain and lived there for 2 yrs then moved to the UK for another 3 b4 i moved to the US at 5, so my yank view is tempered by mom mum, shes full spanish and my dad since hes around the world alot, lol, im not ur typical yankee shoot the world type of person, hey, do yall have gt-4s over there the celica alltrac or the 6th gen, thats my fav car, itz awesome, but when i get the money i'll def go over there :)

We got ALL Celica GT-Fours. ST165-ST180. Guy up the road has a mint condition one that has 350kW @ wheels. It's got wild cams and is nuts to drive in the wet... (plus he's on a dirt road)
