24. 954_ms3, pending final pics of course. oh and if it manages to go on back order, just like every other product for this car, scratch me off the list

I'm sure that this inlet pipe will work just fine, if not, I'm trusting DS will help amend any problem(s) I might encounter.

What's with the final pics stuff, do you suddenly expect it to be covered with diamonds? Holy crap, it's a tube.

Im not sure how i feel about the 45 degree coupler on the end. why dont they just have another bend in the pipe with no coupler and make it just like stock... and every other inlet

even then... i think u only get the coupler for the turbo side. i dont think u get the 45 degree angle that shows in the pic.

you guys are funny. But i agree that you need to find out about that 45 degree coupler. I agree it should have the bend like every other pipe, but thats probably why this one costs so cheap. Might be due to the elimination of the bend, or the coupler not being included.

on the one i have the mazdaspeed cai coupler works fine, i dont need an angled one, but then again mine has the bend at the top.

For you guys wondering if the turbo inlet is worth it. It made my bov seem quieter (which I hate) but as soon as your car starts hitting boost this b**** is loud. The turbo is much much louder and your intake should be louder as well. Its ridiculous the change in sound. As for a gain, it may be minor, but you can certainly feel it at WOT. The turbo does spool at a lower rpm as well which can be a good thing or a bad thing. Means you'll probably get worse mpg if you're a daily driver like me since you'll get into boost or closer too it much sooner and you will probably loose traction sooner than if it was the stock part.

all in all a worthwhile part but can be a pain to get installed in there.

What intakes come with a 45 degree coupler?

Correct me if I am wrong, but because this inlet is lacking the extra bend on the intake end, this pretty much won't work at all with the Cobb and CPE short rams, especially considering they both have mounting brackets. throw off that stock like alignment at all and its not gonna work too well. Again, correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like this inlet will work just fine for certain CAIs that include a 45 degree coupler...but not for all/most intake setups? It looks like you could "make it work" with any intake, but its not gonna fit like stock as far as I can see.

First post says "Silicone Couplers"

I assumed that both couplers would come with the inlet pipe. I guess my assumption was wrong.

what exactly is your reasoning behind the $199 retail price? I mean, it's just a plain old pipe with couplers on both sides. I know that research, development and fabrication are costly but c'mon...

yeah that really doesnt look like it will work with the cobb sri which is dissapointing count me out until this is figured out
