Gauging Interest: MSP FMIC

Captain, please msg me on AIM sometime.
hows it going my friend...Corky says there is a fellow in Dallas keen on the deal - is that you or someone else?

small updates on the project - those concerned about 'bling bling' will be happy to know the intercooler is going to be aluminum finish with aluminum endtanks with an option to powder coat the hardpipes in red or black. they will of course be designed with the lowest possible pressure drop in mind and they do not expect to cut into the body for this project.

awesome. now tell him to remember how bad HEAT is for performance. then also mention the MSP radiator sucks at life and we want to be able to uprgrade it, so don't route the piping thru the space the stock IC leaves. thanks :)

I'm actually in Austin. I did not receive a reply to my email I had sent, so I'm assuming they found someone else. Oh well. Plan B it is. :D

I'd be interested in a FMIC if it uses the stock pipes or a SMIC that uses stock pipes
why?! the pipes are much better off being upgraded with the intercooler...

i talked to them and that guy it seems now wasn't "confirmed" to come out, give them a ring or shoot em another email.

I'm interested. I'd want no cutting as well, and also the ability to use either the stock BPV or an aftermarket or both. The reason is for DSP in autocross, you can't change the blow off valve, but you can put a front mount on as long as no cutting is involved. On the street, however, I'd like to run an aftermarket BOV. Is this feasible? I'm looking forward to the resutls.

the specs have been finalized for the FMIC and there should be a production model by June 30th. the FMIC will allow for installation of a radiator like the one on the stock Protege (i.e. the larger one) rather than routing the pipes through the slot where the old intercooler will have been

I liked Corky Bell's book....he may know a thing or two about making the absolute perfect sized intercooler for our car. Seriously, I would trust any product that guy made all the way.

yeah ken definately keep me updated on this
If its nice, you can expect me to be the first in line(thumb)

It doesn't seem like it would be to hard to do. Instead of welding a flange for a aftermarket BOV you could have it set up to use the factory bpv and then get the forge BOV which is made to directly replace the factory setup. Then you could switch back and forth easily.
