Hey folks,

I am trying to gauge intertest on a potential group buy for clear film paint protection. This will be for the film itself, all computer pre-cut peices. Hood, Fenders, Mirrors, Hood, Grille, Bumper and lights.

The Film being used will be Venture Shield, a step above the 3M film. I'll have more details on this later.

I am currently working on getting all the software and the film to cut the peices, this will all be done inhouse (my house...lol) and shipped to you in round tubes with instructions on how to install it. The Venture Sheild film is pretty easy to work with, easier than the 3M film. If you can apply decals, you can apply this film.

I will have any combo of peices you want or the full kit of all available peices. The patterns are available for both the 4dr sedan and the Hatchback. i or s models.

Prices are yet to be determined, as i'm still getting the software and all the patterns, but i can garauntee it will be the cheapest price out there.

I have enough film right now to do my car and will post pics as soon as i can. Infact, i have already done my headlights with hand cut peices and it's truly invisible and definetely works.

So post up if you'd be interested.

thank you.

Absolutely, which is why i just wanted to get an idea of interest. I will post pics and all the info possible before going ahead with the GB.

I will need to double check to make sure the Protege patterns are in the software. I only made sure the Mazda3 and Mazda6 was in there. Don't see why they wouldn't be though, i ordered ALL Mazda vehicles.

BTW, love the avatar...lol

I would definately be interested in something like this depending on what the price will be.

great!

how will it look over CF..... just the same as it would look over paint. It's just a clear film. It's washable, waxable etc...just do what you do like it wasn't even there.

The patterns do not cover the entire hood, just the front section.

As far as i know the film only comes in 24" and 48", dunno how long the hood is, but i'd guess 48" is shy of fitting.

Well, as it sits now, this is not going to happen.

I had a chance to install this on a buddies car with a friend who is a 20 year window tinter, and i was in window tinting for about 5 years and it even tested our skills. The film is awesome to work with and lays really nice, but for the first timer who's never attempted this type of work before, it will be a nightmare. The big bumper peices will be very difficult to install without creases.

I suppose i could do the headlights/fogs, those are pretty easy to apply even for a beginner, but i don't think that will happen either.

It's too bad, cause this is a great way to protect the paint on new cars, body kits, re-paints etc...

I wouldn't feel right selling this stuff now knowing how hard it can be to install (we did a MBZ with lots of body lines) i don't want anybody to spend good money then have problems installing it and ultimately wasting money on a botched peice or have a not so pro looking install.

So, sorry to get anybody's hopes up, but it would be in your best intertest to get it installed professionally.
