jegs doesn't have both items?

This man is correct!:D Jegs.com should have both items! I should know that's where I got my dual full pillar pod and ultra lite gauges. Prices are real decent compared to most. Good Luck!

Nothing wrong with Autometer gauges.
Other than that fact that I see them on EVERY "modded" car there is around here, regardless of if it's a slammed import or a lifted 4x4 redneck truck. Be different, people. Just because they're cheaper it seems *everyone* on here has Autometer gauges with a very select few that have spent decent money (>$100) on quality gauges. I have a Blitz along with two other people and a few have Defi gauges. It's different and they're quality. I personally would rather have just droppped more cash on a decent guage that I'll be using almost daily than go the cheap route just to be able to afford more of em.[/rant]

Now, be VERY cautious about that oil pressure gauge. There have been some members here that have had them and the connection came lose or broke and oil went *everywhere*.

I'll stick with my VDO gauges, thanks. =) I've never had an issue with them, for sure. They sometimes end up costing a little more than the Autometers, with the senders and wiring and all, but they seem to be more accurate. *shrugs* And yes, if you got a mechanical oil pressure gauge, I would say don't even install it, just get an electrical to replace it with.

word. thank you.

I 'DID' have HKS gauges.....that was until they got destroyed. But yes, I have to agree w/ t3ase. From what i've seen, everyone uses autometer. And as it would seem that my new gauges are going to be autometer ultralites. Although I have considered using Faze gauges, but they look kind of cheap.

sw-performance gauges look pretty good, but haven't got them (YET)....they run ~ $50 for Mech. Boost, and have silver, black or white faces w/ backlighting. You can also get an LED kit, but I don't know how much that is. This is what I'm getting at the end of the month...they should match the MSP perfectly from what I've seen. I'll let you all know how good they are....here are some websites:

www.sw-performance.com is the home page - click on Mechanical or Electrical gauges in right column
www.mcnewsautomotive.com is where I'm buying them from

Stuart Warner (SW Performance Gauges = Stuart Warner Performance Gauges) used to be the name in performance gauges. =) My roommate's 1966 Corvair Monza (With the 4 carb setup from a Corsa) has Stuart Warner gauges of old, and they work really well, despite being rather old at this point. =) Good stuff.

www.nopi.com has the s.w. gauges for a reasonable price. I was thinking of getting those myself. But then again I saw the autometer ultralights and liked them better.;) I know that they're not as good as my hks ones....but they'll do.

Autometer has gotten a bad reputation lately. They are the number one selling gauge in north America. Their logo is on almost all nascar cars and most drag cars. That's not to say that they are the best in the world. Most of us don't fly a space shuttle to work. Because of their sales and following they have a financial advantage over European and Japanese companies. I understand that because everyone has them, you might want to get some other company, but to say that they are better or more accurate without actually testing them is a bit dumb. Your preferences are your own, and buy whatever you like, but dont slam someone because you dont like their choices in instrumentation.
I am a proud owner of Autometer products and have not had any problems with fit, finish, quality , and their customer support is second to none. I sound like a T.V. commercial but I have had to call them and they really came through for me with my Tach adaptor.

well for my $.02 sure everyone might have autometer gauges but that doesnt make them bad just popular. i dont mind having the same gauges as lots of other people i just want them to work and they do so its all good.

Nice....I didn't realize that Nopi carried them too...maybe I'll get my boost there, w/ that cheap Faze single pod until I have the $$ for another gauge & the full A-pillar pod (I'm on a TIGHT budget! LOL!)
