93 oct just went to 2.97 now - dont understand how it can be legal to flux prices like that- politics blow!

3.09 is about average here right now in MD. (I have seen 3.05 a few places.)

Ah Somerset, KY....I lived in KY for 25 years. (N. KY and Louisville.)

I dated a CRAZY chick from Somerset...glad that is over.

So i was just wanting to know what premium cost in your area i will just tell you here in somerset ky, its 2.90 a gallon

$2.90 FOR PREMIUM!?! It's $2.92 for regular 89 here! (argh)

$2.97 for Premium and there is an oil refinery less than a mile from my house.

I think we are paying close to .50 per gallon tax here in Texas. According to this website, http://www.taxadmin.org/FTA/rate/motor_fl.html, we each pay a state & federal excise tax on each gallon of fuel. Some states also add additional taxes and even a sales tax. So by the time everything is said and done some of us are hit with anywhere from .30 to .60!!! (sorry California) per gallon tax every time we fill up our tanks.

So while the hard working (and not-so-hard working) citizens bear the brunt of everything, our "representatives" (along with their bloated salaries, pensions, expense accounts, and bellies) have more important matters to attend to - such as gay marriage and who's juicing in baseball. So the next time some politician says they can't do anything about the price of fuel, they're lying. Wasn't this country founded upon relief from over-taxation? I believe so.

maybe thats how it is, but thats the beauty of capitalism.

imagine if you were in that position, wed all probably do the same thing, and suck in as much money as we can. its the way it is.

i highly doubt our house of reps is dealing with the steroid issue...

oh... and state senators, and representatives dont make that much money with those jobs, there ususally rich going into that job. thats the misconception people have, you all of a sudden get super rich when you get a position like that. my AP gov teacher interned for Mary Bono a couple of years ago. if you want to make money, house of reps isnt for u.
