Gas milage for boosted Protege5's?

i haven't actually taken down the mileage (i'll do it next time i fill up) i had a gas leak that i just solved two weeks ago...anyway, guessing i'd say 20-23???

you and astral driving auto's........he has the RX-8 and you have the Turbo P5 now!

problem sloved......

It's not a rule... I idle my car around 12 AFR a lot of the time as it seems to be more content that way overall... I can idle it into the 13's without much issue as well.. just a matter of adjustment.. I highway cruise at 15:1 as that is great for gas mileage.

in town i get abt 17 mpg on a long distance freeway trip i get around 35. so who knows!!

I idle at about 14.5, I should probabl idle a little richer, but it doesn't complain so i have left it thus far

It simply depends on driving habits. A turbo car can be as economical as a N/A car that is similar.

My driving habits are quite tame, actually. It's my AFRs at idle that are doing it, methinks.

i'm with Pretzellogic here, getting 10's high 9's for A/F while idling. although sometimes its between 13-16. it goes above 16 but that means my engines revs are dropping and i'm gonna stall and i have to tap the gas a little to keep it from stalling (seems to be only when my electrical system is strained, turn down the bass and its fine). get 10's while cruising with my foot off the gas and 11-12's with my foot barely on the gas. i get 200-250 miles between full and the gas light. closed loop is in my future

i get about 20-22 MOG running 10-11 in boost, 13.3-13.7 under acceleration, 14.6-15.0 under cruising. i usually fill up once i'm at the halfway mark - 150 miles. remember that doesn't mean i get 300 a tank though.

i have the begi kit and i get 24 in town and 30 on the highway. but i baby it alot; shifting at 2600-2900 rpms. i spool it up here and there. and the boost is only @ 4lbs peak

i get a lil over 200 miles per tank ... my s*** guzzles gas. needs a tune

damn...

i've got a t3 at 10psi and i jsut drove from Newark, NJ to Washington, DC (roughly 213 miles) only used up about half the tank (93 oct)

i tried to stay off boost as much as i could... was doing an average of 80 mph the whole way. i found that once i got passed 4k rpm's and the secondaries opened up i was burning alot more fuel. (so says the wideband)
