Gainsville meet?

I just now found this thread. After reading the whole thing, if we go on the 24th, is there anyway we can still go to the Gainesville track? What about the 23rd (that's a friday and the track should be open) Gainesville is a long way to go for a picnic (2thumbs)
I'd probably still go though if we can't go to the track. But I figure if we're gonna be 10 minutes away from a perfectly good track, well... why not use it?

I just checked the Raceway website schedule, I just checked the Raceway website schedule, http://gainesvilleraceway.com/schedule.html and it is being used by the Jr Drag Racing League. I am not sure if people can make a Friday meet. I am working part time, and I only have weekends free. But hey, what does everyone else think? I think only 5 or 6 guys are up for the meet right now, due to schedules and distances. Maybe we should have it another time? It is only 2 weeks away, and not a whole lot of interest.

hey im out of town right now, but when i get back ill see about maybe going down on friday and stayin the night, but only if there are atleast a couple of us wanting to go to the track.....then maybe we can share a hotel room or somethin so its cheaper....idk i should be home this coming weekend though and then ill start getting everything organized better

Does anyone from the Gainesville area know anything about the road track there? (http://gainesvilleraceway.com/test_track.html) I don't know if it's open to the public or not. But it looks like fun to me.

they (a couple members here) actually had a track day a couple months ago on the road track and IIRC they paid upwards of 150-200 bux to run for the dayWiggles422 said:

well after doing a quick search of old threads. . it turns out that it was 100 a person w/lunch and they had 20 people go to the track. . .. so i would suppose it was 2 grand to get the track for a day

Hey guys new to the forum, I have live in palm coast and have a 3rd gen protege modified. You can count me in for a meet in gainsville if you guys are having one. just let me know times and place.
