Today started off all nice and sunny though a little hot. Went to classes and drove around a bit enjoying today.
Then came home to finish a programming final and since it was CLOUDLESS decided to leave all the windows and and sunroof open.
I was only be gone for two hours or so no biggie didn't see any reports of approaching storms.

Then ohh about 1minute ago I heard lightning and looked at the window.
DARK!!
And raining like a mofo!!

ARGHHHHHHHH
my fuggen car is so freaky soaked!!!
The dash spray I use on the interior is so soaked you can see the oil in the water.

GAHHHH Fuggen A
Hopefully the seats don't soak to much of it and non of the wiring under the dash gets whacked.
There so was so much water on the gauge cluster you could barely see the gauages.

GAWD DANG weather men!!
    :'(

From just walking 10 feet from my door to the car my shirt and pants are completely soak to the point I can ring water out of them.

Guess later I'll be taking stuff apart and hair drying the mess.
Oh there are puddles on my diamond plated floor mats.
This freakin storm came out of no where.

:(
:'(

*sniff*
I need a gun.

Normally do on nice days like it was when there was no mentioning of heavy rain pours!
This was suppose to be a great day heance why there are activites going on all over the place.
Don't feel so bad though plenty of other cars out there with their windows down.

Sorry to hear that, man. I don't even leave my sunroof/windows open when I'm in the garage for fear of bugs getting inside. I also lock my doors when it's in the garage too. Prudency will protect you!

Hey, disconnect the battery, you should dry everything before starting the car. Remember that the ECU is in the passenger floor, in the kick panel.
I hope the poodle doesnt reach the ECU

Nope luckily the rain only came straight down so most the water gather around the shift plus sides of the seats.
Went to class and left the heater running full blast inside for about 30minutes while I turned in my program.
Then attacked it with a hair dryer, lots of towels and a vacumn.
Got it pretty much dry, now just letting it air out.

Gah what a way to spend a night but least I got sushi for dinner :D

I always leave my windows up just in case of such a thing happening. I don't trust Mother Nature.

i accedentially left my windows down over night, and of coarse that night it POURED. I come out to my 2 week old P5 to fin everythign soaked w/ about 5 inches of water in my back seat floor. It took 6 hours of vacuuming just to get it to the point where i could drive it. That really sucked balls. What a way to ruin a new car's smell.:(

hmm, new car smell? i never ever noticed mine because my parents had new cars for several months before i got my car, so i didnt really get the pleasure of the new car smell. but just the other day i got in, and i was like "wtfs that smell?" and it was NEW CAR SMELL, after 1 year. i asked my friend if it always smelled like that and he said it still had strong new car smell to him

Reminds me of the time it was pouring and I saw an old Mercedes convertable sitting the the movie theater parking lot, with the top down... Such a sad sight.

yeah, in N.VA, it is a b**** with weather in the summer
well, all the people in VA now that for the whole month of may and about half of april, it was raining almost every day

and with this weather, I don't mind my car being hot, having the windows up, just because I know that this stupid weather will suddenly switch on me and rain the second I open my windows.

REmiller, if you need any help, I am more than happy to come over and help you out.

p.s. REmiller and every body in VA, check out the VA thread for the MJM meet, lets make it work, aight!!!
