Fuel pump replacement

Good Afternoon. I would like to know if anyone on this forum ever replaced the fuel pump assembly on their first gen CX9. I was watching a video on yt that says you can access from inside the car by removing the seat and cutting open the carpet. Is this possible or does the tank have to come down? Any replies would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Check the CX-5 forum. I’ve done it, posted pictures. I am guessing CX-9 is similar with CX-5.
