fuel pump finally working....im stoked kinda

When I said lucky... I meant that my pump was still functional. It was able to be fixed. The other errors(whatever they were) resulted in failed pumps that were goners after installation.

I think the guys who have had these things for awhile will attest to the fact that having them on the car IS GOOD... for performance and longevity of the engine. I cant imagine all the fuel cut I get in the cold is making things better.

Either the pump works or it doesnt. I think if you get one that works the likelihood of it failing is just the same as if the stocker were to. Maybe the stocker might even have more likelihood on a modded car. I dont know.

I'll let the experts sort that one out.

There were a few that had literally seized together some of which weren't installed by us. There were kits sent out to a reputable person and his seized on him as well. Paleriders was the only one that as far as anyone can determine that was an install issue and I take blame for that ONE. It happens, with all the experience I have working on cars you come to realize that you will NEVER be perfect and if anyone expects that from you just shrug it off and make it the best you can and always make the customer happy in the end. Ask Randy I spent plenty of time with him on the phone with this issue and other things and I do what I can to help over the phone. I offered to pay to have the pump shipped back but it didn't work out that way in the end.

<----getting lucky ftw, making money off my pump ft bigger w (not that i plan on selling it anytime soon ) ill sell it when my engine blows from running a map clamp on stock boost(screwy)

Redrocketz and I have become internet buddies, we spent so much time together....lol

I never sent my first pump back because it never seized, that is what led us to believe it was good.... and maybe my setup, or whatever. Unfortunately Im a rookie when it comes to this. In retrospect I probably should have sent it back immediately. At this point who cares?

Now that the pumps will be installed on a test car first, it will be interesting to see if they still have a likelyhood of seizing. this is probably a reason why the price is going up.

Regardless.... if the pump doesnt seize and the install is good. The pump will be fine. I think mrlilguy is a freak about this pump....its in good hands with him putting it together, and PG getting them out.

Exciting stuff.... were gonna have some good times this summer. Watch out Caliber land!!

i have a minor in political science, majored in history and seriously considered a law degree before just getting a BA in Management.

interesting. i f**king hate politics, and lawyers. if i bought a fubar'ed fuel pump from you, and it ended up being an "installation error", you would have wished you got that law degree instead.

or i could have just refunded your money for the defective part? (screwy) just because you have a law degree or a business degree doesn't automatically make you unethical.

its not just about that man. i expect something that works. you can refund me all you want, but do you even pay for shipping back and forth? according to lilguy's website, he doesn't! and what about the downtime! are you going to pay for my rental car?

i automatically assume all lawyers and businessman to be unethical. whine and cry about generalizations, but the funny thing is they are generally correct.

as a matter of fact we do pay for shipping

well thats nice of you! will you even test it and make sure it is assembled properly and functions well before i put it on my car?

this almost reminds me of TXS's RP... i helped a buddy put it on his car, and i wondered if TXS ever tried putting it on a car before they sold the thing. it was a POS. a nice shiny POS. didn't mate up to stock for s***. it was like they scratched something up real quick to be one of the first ones out there with the product and grab peoples money. even more surprising is that people are so forgiving that they are willing to give them more $$!

**edit** i hope this does not get me banned from these forums...

i don't disagree with you on generalizations. as you may have read when i was talking about politics, i said that i don't have the partisan beliefs that would allow me to get elected. meaning i'm not enough of a 'company man'.

if mrlilguy ships a bad product he has assured me he is going to shoulder the responsiblity of making things right and that would include the things which concern you.

i'll be blunt; if i or my company ***** something up, we pay for it and thats that. i have paid for return shipping, i have paid to repair a customer's car when one of my guys breaks something on it, i have driven the part to a customer 110 miles away at my own expense in the dead of winter so he could take his wife out of town the following morning. and on that one he was the one who ordered the incorrect part. i don't know if you and i have done business before. i can tell you've been burned before to the point where skepticism comes naturally. if the point arrives where i can prove myself to you, i'd happily do it.

well, i would have no qualms buying something from you that you sell for another company. In fact, we have done business, i have bought TWM shifter bushings from you, and without any complaints (other than i could have made it myself in about 10 minutes). However, as far as products that have been designed\built in house (or otherwise under your name), you have lost my trust so far. this fuel pump is a pretty critical part, and i would want to get it from a reputable source, for sure. sadly, your reputation, at least in my eyes, has been damaged from this mishap. i'm sure you will rebound from this no problem tho.

i am not happy about what occured either and would agree with you on what it has done for our image. all the more reason to put things into more capable hands, regardless of whom that may be. i am glad the bushings are serving you well to date and look forward to our next transaction(s).

You're probably only 20 and couldnt afford to even retain an attorney. There isnt one thing out there manufactured defect free.. i mean, let's take your brain as a prime example.

ahh, what a witty retort! in fact, i'm 23, make 60k a year (as a Mechanical Engineer, and last year my W2 actually said 62,394), and retaining an attorney was the first thing i did when i moved to this wretched state! maybe we can get your boyfriend on here so he can tell us about your defects!

I know Nuclear Security Officers who are making an additional $20K more a year than you and have enough common sense to know that when you buy a part, its not defect free.

Im getting tired of young kids like yourself acting like they know everything.

BTW, your comment was completely lame. i think you got ripped off taking a $60K job as an engineer. I suggest you go into the Nuclear field and double your income. Dont forget to bring your attorney to the interview with you.. Dont want them to ask you a difficult question that you may have a tough time answering... (no)

Killer,

A Mechanical Engineering degree does not make you a God. Its people like you that go around flaunting the fact that you are an engineer that give us real engineers a bad name. There are people out there with no more than a few years of highschool that know more than me in some fields, but you know what? I can admit it. Suck it up, and realize you do not know everything.

Does not matter to me, i love what i do. you can't put a dollar on that.

And i know that not everything is defect free. Take condoms for example. jeez if they would have perfected that manufacturing process, we might not have to deal with you right now. I wonder if PG made your cock pump, because your on here making asinine comments instead of having fun with your b\f.

some things tho, can be made reasonably defect free, or in such a way that the defect does not cause a malfunction. take for example, the clothes you wear. they still do the job, even tho you look like a douche.

and really, 60k a year is not a rip-off, for a kid fresh out of school. by the time i'm your age i'll have my own company, making TONS more. thats way more than you can think of having.
