I had good, safe AFRs with a DP, CAI, TIP and BPV, even with the low FP my pump was putting out.
The addition of a RP pushed the stock fuel pump just too hard and the pressure died like a Kamikaze over 5000 rpm. I was datalogging AFRs to figure out what this "misfire" at high rpm was and the AFRs were still ok. Then I noticed the plummeting FP on the display and datalogged that and, lo, the fuel pressure was in the basement, way under Mazda's target WOT minimum of 1669 psi.
I now know this situation exists and won't push it until I upgrade the pump. If I didn't have eyes on the ECU and the ability to datalog, who knows what could have happened.
