Fuel Door- Billet Aluminum

I just called my dealer to find out how much the Fuel-Door accesory will cost me. Guess how much? $109.00 USD Any of you know where to get it cheaper?

I still think it's too pricey for me, but if you're going to get it, definitely don't pay more than $100 for it...

Depending on the color of your car, I think it can look good. Prboy, I have a black mica hatch and I was thinking about it myself, but I'm afraid the silver won't match. We already have 3 different silver trims on the car anyway, (shiny chrome trim on head/taillights, dull silver trim on foglights, and the silver of the rims, which, IMO, don't really match either), so adding yet another shade of silver might look wierd. Before I laid out the money for something like that, I would want to see it in person, to see if it will match. Otherwise, too much silver on a black car.

for the aluminum fuel-door thoes the whole thing open or just the little door in the middle, and if its only the middle the thing around it do you glue it around the original ???

Just the middle part opens. The outer part attaches with bolts and brackets and is sealed with an o-ring around the outside edge.

I would like to see how it looks on a car before I purchase it. But I am diggin it. I have black high gloss rims with a chrome lip that would look even better if I could add a little more artisticly placed chrome or silver on the car. Maybe add the chrome rings around the side markers and get the 2.3 moldings for the side. Beyond that I think that it would be too much too add anything else chrome or silver to the outside.

Hold up, I know. I'll get chrome stripping from Advanced so that I can run it along the bottom of the car, and get some deep dish gold 100 spokes. G'd up. G G G G G-Unit. LOL. Biiiitch I'm rich.

I used the search to find a topic on the fuel door mod, sorry for bringing up an old thread.

I need to know if this mod is plug and play. I did a similar mod on my 2002 Mach Audio Focus (using the Billet Mustang fuel door) and I had to do a lot of modifications to make it fit.

I'm wanting to put this on my wife's new 07 M3 GT and to quell her fears that I'll ruin her car, I just wondered if it's a direct replacement bolt-on type of deal.
