Fuel Cut

No one has solid proof that you need a new cdfp to solve your sputter issues. just wait until a reflash is available. Its just so early no one really knows.
I just upgraded to colder plugs and ran a .25 gap instead of .28- .30 like the factory plugs and now i cant get my car sputter even colder temps with 18-19 psi of boost, Go figure. You can temporarily band aid the real issue with map clamps and s*** or just be patient until a reflash is available.

And you became the resident expert when again?

Where and who did you get your plug info from? Yes, that would be me and Driver.. hmmm

Map clamps arent a temporary bandaid...They work well with MBCs.

CDFPs solve many issues.. either believe or dont bother replying. Its that simple.

wow if you still got cut with the CDFP you have problems. it is a CDFP right not an in tank pump ? cuz them goofballs on the MS6 side seem to think the in tank pump helps....that is moronic ! the iat temp mod is dangerous. you car is cutting because it doesnt have enough fuel to SAFELY continue at the power level you are demanding. when you lie to it you are running lean. bad idea. we have 2 ms3's with the CDFP running 19-22psi with lots of mods in freezing temp, no cut.

I have the cp-e upgraded cdfp. You're wrong about the MAF IAT being dangerous. I have a dashhawk and monitor my AFR continually. I've also tuned with it and my afrs are fine. THe car has an IAT in the MAP sensor as well and that's likely the one it uses to calculate the air density. That's the place where it would make sense to do the calculation as the heated air from the turbo will have the largest fluctuation in air density depending on flow over the IC and outside temperature.

The cold weather fuel cut is most probably a software glitch in the ecu. My fuel pressure is fine, my injector pulse widths were normal, and I still got fuel cut. The only thing that changed was the outside temperature. I would get fuel cut in the higher rpms 4500-6000. At that rpm my afr was in the 10s and 11s with the stock pump. I have the dyno graphs to show it. I would get it if I set my boost to 18 or 14 psi. No difference. My map clamp was set to 13 psi. Changing the IAT value does not affect the afr - I've checked with the DH both cruising and WOT. Also, moving the IAT moves the rev point where fuel cut occurs. 82 deg F removes it with outside air temps in the high 20s. 20 or below it'll come back. We think it has to do with some range calculation btw the MAF and MAP IAT sensors.

I guess if you are happy with lower power levels listen to Nig, but if you wanna go fast take some of the above advice. Me and laloosh are probably two of the fastest ms3s in the nation and both found the cdfp to be the key factor. I guess thats not hard enough proof for some like NIGLET!

Actually there is the guy who has meth injection who is making more power.

Driver had sputter which he cleverly figured out how to fix. Laloosh had FC only with the standback installed (when temps got cold**) once he removed the stand back his FC issue went away.

Both have the CDFP

it happened with the cpe ems on the car as well. like i said i could roll through the gears and redline 6th and it wouldnt happen, but when it was under 30ish and i would load the ar up down low, it would boost cut as if i didnt have a map clamp. The fuel pump solved all my suttering and that has yet to come back in over 2500 miles and temps as low as 12 degrees
