I have never posted here and am new to the Mazda world. I love my MSP ( when its running correct). I have read and read and read about fuel cut. What my question is and what I need help or guidness with is. Why in the morning do I get fuel cut or even after the sun goes down I hits fuel cut but mid day it runs just fine. Any arrows to fixing the problem would be great thank you.

first thing is the morning is normally really cool and how much boost are you running? These cars get fuel cut real easy in the lower temps.

How much boost are you running?
Mods?
Mileage?
still on the stock SMIC with the crappy plastic pipes?

Im running stock boost with a forged actuator front mount intercooler maf relocated and atmosphere bov.

where did you relocate the maf? when you first start the car it is in open loop getting its information from the maf and coolant temp sensors ( I believe )...if the maf is not sending accurate or good information due to a bad location, it could be causing your problem.

My best guess is because its probably colder in the mornings and/or the engine hasn't warmed up yet.

There is still an issue present the cars should not hit fuel cut unless it is ~40 degrees or colder. Just to try you could reset the ECU but the best solution to permanently get rid of the fuel cut is an AFC.

I've hit fuel cut when its warmer then that early in the mornings. It warms up in the afternoons and it runs like a ***** ape.
