Ok about the motor. i called this auto scrap yard today and a guy says he has a 38k fsde for $950.00 pretty good price. But when i asked him from which vehicle did he get it he said 05 mazda protege ,i was like wt*. Anyways i guess i have to go down there to check it out. Is there any way to tell if its the correct fsde engine? I heard that theres codes on the engine to look for is that right?
I checked out the motor yesterday and it looks like its from a 03 protege. The problem is that the engine was left out side with the vehicle and the hood was removed and placed on top of the engine bay sideways. What are the chances that the rain or weather might effect the motor?
