The upper portion is from Racing Mazda, and has the proper bung for the EGR piping. It is used and was recently sand blasted, hence the dull finish. The lower portion is brand new and from an Ebay header with the same design as the Racing Mazda.

In order for it to fit you will need to do one of the following:

  1. Install a test pipe to mate the header to the cat-back portion of your exhaust. (see attached photo from Racing Mazda)
  2. Cut the flange and weld in a piece of pipe.
  3. Cut the flange and weld in a high-flow cat.
The header also comes with the 2nd O2 sensor with extended wires to reach the bung. If you go with option 3, I would suggest putting in a bung past the cat. It will then run without causing a CEL.

I don't remember the exact numbers, but it works better than any of the 4-1 headers. This design takes advantages of the scavenging affect of the exhaust flow. I know the butt-dyno could tell a difference between this and the OBX that I had before.

How much louder would this be? My Wagner header broke, so I'm running the stock header and everything else is 2.5 to a MSP axleback. I really don't want it much louder than I have now.

i would definitely be louder since you'd be eliminating both cats, but it will sound great with the MSP exhaust.

It would definitely be louder, and it would be highly recommended to have a cat on there unless you didn't care for emissions or noise (take it from a guy with a 4-2-1 header with a similar design, even with a Racing Beat catback).

How badly did your Wagner break? Just the typical crack at the collector or worse? If it's worse, I have a Wagner I've been trying to sell for a while (which needs repairing of the collector) which I haven't bothered posting up here yet...
