What are the negatives to this unit? Surely there must be some. Direct bolt on ? No CELs from adding this?

Direct bolt on, inexpensive, not CARB legal (so those who needs cats this is not for you), some people say u get CEL some (most) say they did not.

Yet to see a "real" downfall

This does not come with the header to midpipe gasket.. I recommend an OEM gasket.. if you want one to come with it its an additional 20.00 otherwise use what u like lol

find this header to midpipe gasket before you install also. hell id look while its being shipped if thats the case. i couldnt find one at a local auto store and the stealership was closed. i had to eyeball one that looked right. the pipes didnt match even after that but we just smashed the s*** out of it by tightening it and have had no leaks since then.


so def source one before the install as no auto store will likely have it in stock...all were special order...2-3 days out.

THX bro.. Yeah I prefer to send the MAZDA OEM gasket with the header that way they wont have a problem with that leaking, but some people prefer to same money or use the old one which is fine.. However they normally write back saying they wish they had gotten the gasket form me lol

wait til i put mine up for sale. itll be used but cheaper than this one...kinda hard to sell it for a decent price with this one so low new lol.. just gotta get my trubo kit on(im like a little kid waiting to play with a new toy you know your getting for christmas).

There u go.. I will try and get another one in eventually but I normally don't have the funds to buy them to keep here and this one has been sitting for a while and has yet to be test fitted and leak tested but it will be ready to go within a few days after it is paid for.

spooled ill post a pic of mine in this thred to show its awesomeness installed. will be installing about 2 pm eastern time. if someone dosent grab this i may have to for my next project. and if your looking for the doughnut gasket try nappa, only one near my house had them but they were cheep and they had like 8 haha

yeah the problem with napa ones is they are the wire mesh gasket that normally leaks.. The OEM one is a graphite gasket.. solid

Any others just don't seal up right, trust me, i've used em on both an OBX and a Ractive header
