I have for sale Scotch mastic tape and a 2" putty knife. This is, so far, the only sure-fire way of eliminating the windshield cowl rattle, referenced here. Even the TSB isn't a permanent solution. I used some of the tape on my car, but there is plenty left for another. These will run you $16+ at Home Depot, or you can have mine for...

Price: $10 USD shipped to the lower 48.

lol, you smartass. Although that's the same stuff I used or my car, or damn near close. Works great.

oh i'm with you 100%... think of my comment as a free bump.

$6 saved = a pretty decent lunch for me

Kain, I always pictured you as a 5-in-1 kind of guy...
guess i was wrong...you're just another 2" putty knifer...

What exactly is involved in the application of the tape? Do you have to slap a suction cup on the glass and lift it up or something? 30 degrees in TX and my windshield sounds like a can of marbles...

No windshield lifting necessary. The plastic cowl that's underneath the windshield wipers is held onto the windshield glass with small plastic clips. The plastic clips creak against the glass. The tape is applied between the clips and the glass getting rid of the creaking. If you search on the site, there's a couple of good posts with instructions, it's an easy fix and well worth the 30 minutes and $10 worth of tape that Kain's selling.

If you click the link in my first post, you'll see how it's done.
