I'm not to familar with meth kits. How do they work exactly, are they specifically for the race track or are useful as a daily driver?

It would be hard to really explain methanol injection in complete detal. I wold suggest googling, or go to Snow Performance's website.

I run methanol injection, but my car is not a DD. Though I don't see why it wouldn't be just as beneficial. Only thing is I go through a lot of methanol, with very, very minimal driving (3k or so a year).

The good thing about a stage I kit like this is that you can set the boost switch to inject at a higher psi like 12PSI. That way you are not wasting at low boost and using it when the car really needs it.

so can you get it tuned so you can lean it out when you are injecting the meth correct. So my question is, if I get it tuned so that its leaner at a certain point because of the introduction of the meth, when I run low on meth or choose not to run meth at a certain point, can you have your tune trip so it wont be lean anymore, since you don't have any meth left to inject.

Some do tune it for this, but most just inject meth and let the ECU control the mixture in case you do run out. I have heard of people blowing motors when tuned for meth and they run out.

to answer your question koston, sort of. if you tune with a standback and profuel controller, it has a failsafe signal that you can connect a 12 volt sensor to. when the sensor is tripped, you standback will immediately pull 5 degrees of timing to keep your motor safe. the effectiveness of this really depends on the sensor you use (flow meter, low level indicator, etc...). for example, a low level indicator would not detect a crimped or clogged water line, which could inhibit or stop meth flow even though you have a full tank.
